Family Practitioners

Mark R. Harris, D.O.

Dr. Harris received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Gettysburg College before receiving his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing his Osteopathic internship at Community General Hospital in Reading, Pennsylvania and his Family Practice residency at the Medical Center of Delaware, Dr. Harris became board certified from the American Board of Family Medicine. He was a founding parter at Brandywine Valley Family Care in Kemblesville, Pennsylvania. For over 25 years, Dr. Harris has specialized in Addiction Medicine working for Advanced Treatment Systems in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania as a staff physician as well as medical director. In March 2026, Dr. Harris joined Total Care Physicians as a family practitioner. He currently sees patients at our Glasgow location.

Robert Palandjian, D.O.

Dr. Palandjian received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. Dr. Palandjian then completed a one-year internship at Atlantic City Medical Center and a two-year Residency at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Dr. Palandjian is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. He has been with Total Care Physicians since 2001 and a member of our Board of Directors since 2006. Dr. Palandjian is a member of the Delaware Medical Society, the Delaware Osteopathic Medical Society, the New Castle County Medical Society, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society and Sigma Sigma Phi. Dr. Palandjian sees patients at our Silverside Road location.

Melissa G. Sheehan, D.O.

Family Medicine and Women's Health 
Dr. Sheehan received her medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2001. She did a Transitional Year Residency at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in Darby, Pennsylvania and a two-year Family Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon completion of her residency, she went into private practice with Family Physicians of Wilmington for 2 ½ years. She joined Total Care Physicians in June of 2007. Dr. Sheehan is Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Delaware Academy of Family Physicians and the Medical Society of Delaware. Dr. Sheehan has privileges at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Sheehans sees patient at our Silverside Road location.

Meghan Byrne, FNP-BC — Physician in Wilmington, DE

Meghan Byrne, FNP-BC

Meghan Byrne received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Temple University in May 2020. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at Wilmington Hospital in July 2020 working in the Emergency Room. She received her Masters of Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington University in May 2025. Meghan is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and officially joined Total Care Physicians in June 2025. She currently sees patients at our Omega Location.

Kelsey S. Fryberger, FNP-C

Kelsey received her BS in Nursing from York College of Pennsylvania in 2011. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at The Hershey Medical Center working in the Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit. In 2013 she began employment at The Chester County Hospital, caring for patients in the Progressive Care Unit while pursuing her Masters of Science at Widener University. She is Board Certified by the AANPCP as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her training and experience includes Pediatric, Gynecology, Geriatric and Family medicine across the lifespan. Total Care Physicians is pleased to welcome Kelsey to our practice.

Samantha Gray, FNP-BC

Family Medicine and Women's Health
Nurse Gray was born and raised in Delaware. She starting working for Total Care Physicians as a teenager, learning the various positions in a medical office setting. She received her RN from Delaware Technical & Community College, her BSN from Wilmington University and completed the MSN Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Weidner University in August of 2012. She completed her board certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in September 2012 and joined Total Care Physicians as a Nurse Practitioner in October 2012. She sees patients of all ages at our Glasgow location.

Kristen Green. FNP-BC

Kristen Green received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in May 2016. She began her career as a Registered Nurse at Christiana Hospital not long after while continuing her education with the University of Pennsylvania. She received her Master of Science in Nursing in May 2021 and participated in the Advanced Practice Clinician Fellowship at Christiana Care Primary Care at Middletown East. In June 2021, she received her board certification from American Nurses Credentialing Center officially becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner. She continued to practice medicine at Christiana Care Primary Care at Stone Mill until May of 2025 when she officially joined Total Care Physicians. She currently sees patients at our Omega location.

Christine attended the Pennsylvania State University for her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She then continued her education at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania where she received her Masters degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program. She received her Board Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She then joined Total Care Physicians in January of 2001. Christine sees patients at our Omega office location.

Melanie Monnig, PA.C.

Melanie received her Physician Assistant Certification in 1992 from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She worked for six years as a physicians assistant in Linwood, PA. She then joined the staff of Total Care Physicians and has been with us since 1999. Melanie is Certified with the National Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Delaware Academy of Physician Assistants. Melanie sees patient at the Silverside office.

Angie Scherrer, FNP-BC

Angie is a graduate of University of Florida and received her bachelor degree in science in 1999. She went on to receive her associate degree in science as a registered nurse at Cecil College in 2014 and in 2022 received her masters from Wilmington University as a family nurse practitioner. In addition to family medicine, she has experience in OB/GYN and Endocrinology. Angie is board certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center. In July of 2023, Angie joined Total Care Physicians and sees patients at the Glasgow location.

Anthony J. Curci, D.O. — Physician in Wilmington, DE

Anthony J. Curci, D.O.

Dr. Curci is a graduate of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO in 1986. Upon completion of his Internship at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Pennsylvania in 1990, Dr. Curci joined Total Care Physicians. In addition to seeing patients at our Omega office and Silverside Road location, Dr. Curci also is on the Board of Directors for the practice.
Dr. Curci is Board Certified with the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Physicians, the American College of General Practitioners, the Delaware State Osteopathic Medical Society and the American Association of Physician Specialists.

Matthew D. Jacobson, M.D.

Dr. Jacobson received his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2004. Upon completion of his Internal Medicine Residency at Christiana Care Health Services in Newark, Delaware in 2007, Dr. Jacobson joined Total Care Physicians. He is Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Jacobson sees patients at our Omega location.

Alexia M. Moutsatsos, M.D — Physician in Wilmington, DE

Alexia M. Moutsatsos, M.D

Dr. Moutsatsos received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 2004. She completed her three-year Internal Medicine residency at Christiana Care Health Services in Newark, Delaware in 2007. She joined the staff of Total Care Physicians in January of 2008. Dr. Moutsatsos is double board certified in two medical specialties, Internal Medicine ABIM and Obesity Medicine ABOM. She is an elected Fellow of the American College of Physicians and American Board of Obesity Medicine, member of the AMA, and staff physician at Christiana Care Health Services.
She also oversees the weight loss and lifestyle program offered through Total Care Physicians and MetaMorphosis MD, an integrative wellness concierge specializing in self-care, weight loss and culinary medicine. She is fluent in Greek and enjoys integrating aspects of functional medicine and culinary nutrition in her specialty practice. Dr. Moutsatsos treats patients at our Omega location.
